Ingredients

Easy Beef & Broccoli Stir Fry

Flank Steak (cut into thin slices against grain) - 8 oz

Beef Stock - 1/2 cup

Soy Sauce - 3 Tbsp.

Sugar - 3 tbsp.

Black Pepper - 1/8 tsp.

Rice Wine Vinegar - 2 tsp.

Sesame Oil - 1 Tbsp.

Corn Starch - 2 tsp.

Broccoli (cut into florets) - 1 lb. approx.

Green Onion (cut into 3 inch strips) - 5 each

Vegetable Oil - 3 Tbsp.

Garlic Cloves (sliced thin) - 6 ea.

Hoisin or Plum Sauce - 1 Tbsp.

Dried Red Peppers (optional for spiciness) - 1/2 tsp. approx.

Directions

For the sauce: Combine in a 1-2 cup container. Beef stock, soy sauce, black pepper, sesame oil, rice wine vinegar, sugar, corn starch, and hoisin or plum sauce.

Blanch broccoli until al dente

Using a saute pan or wok on medium heat, add oil and garlic for 3 minutes (but do not brown the garlic)

Put flank steak and onion in the oil/garlic mixture and cook for 1-2minutes on medium-high heat. Add the sauce and broccoli andcook for 2-3 minutes on high heat

Stir the meat and broccoli with the thickened sauce

Serve over brown or white rice
